Fuel Tank Robotic Welding Workstation

Description
Fuel tank robotic welding workstation is composed of robot, RS seam welder and positioning jig. Automatic seam welding machine is mainly used to weld the upper and lower tank shell automatically. The automatic seam welder is fixed, and the welding robot takes the work piece to resistance welding wheel for welding. Besides, the positioning and clamping jigs are mounted on the robot. In addition, fuel tank robotic welding workstation adopts external motor to actuate the wheels.

Equipment Layout
Fuel tank robotic welding workstation is designed with two work benches. The robot is allocated between the two working benches. When the robot loads the work piece on one working bench for resistance welding, we can change the work piece on another workbench so the working efficiency is improved.

Peripheral System
Fuel tank robotic welding workstation is equipped with auto wheel cleaning and dressing device. Program is used to sort out and trim the required shape so as to avoid weld defect. Such automatic seam welder is also equipped with safety fence around the equipment to protect people from the welding area.

Control System
Fuel tank robotic welding workstation utilizes Mitsubishi PLC and industrial touch screen control, which can realize the “START”, “STOP”, “SUSPEND” and “EMERGENCY PART”, etc. on the panel. The operation state and system alarm will be displayed on the operation panel as well.

Tooling Jig
Fuel tank robotic welding workstation adopts shape and pin-hole positioning mode, and sucks up the fuel tank shell through vacuum chuck.
