Seam Welder

Description
Seam welder, also known as seam welding machine, is a metal welding device which could form permanent connection. While welding, the disc-shaped electrodes rotate as the material passes between them. When the current passes the work piece and the work piece will heat and form welding spot then form continuous seam.

Components and Functions of Seam Welder
Generally speaking, seam welding machine is composed of frame, pressing device, welding wheel (electrode), trimming knife, welding power, speed-regulate mechanism and controller.
Pressing device is used to transfer pressure, adjust the pressure between electrodes equably and compensate electrode abrasion
Welding wheel of seam welder adopts inner and outer water cooling mode, silver brush conductive block which has good conduction and self-compensation function
Trimming knife of seam welding machine can ensure good form of welding wheel
Welding power can be divided into AC type and secondary rectifier DC type, which are optional as per work piece and welding process.
Speed-regulate mechanism of seam welder adopts frequency control and gear reducer.
Controller controls the whole welding process.

Classification
Seam welding machine is classified into AC type and secondary rectifier DC seam welders. AC type is applied to weld non-coating low carbon steel and alloy steel; and DC type is used to weld stainless steel, aluminum, alloy, coating steel and so on. The basic type of welder is horizontal seam and longitudinal seam. Besides, the welding machine can be customized as per clients’ requirements.

Application
Seam welder (seam welding machine) is widely applied to welding container, cylinder work piece, such as automobile fuel tank, muffler, and so on.
