Description
Automatic longitudinal seam welding machine or automatic longitudinal seam welder makes use of key compression mechanism and provides stable work piece clamping and cooling effect. The redundant heat will be discharged through the seam so as to reduce seam burn-through and warpage and deformation of work pieces during the welding process. Besides, this type of longitudinal seam welding machine is capable of conducting one-side welding and two-side molding. All weldable materials can be processed in this automatic longitudinal seam welder, such as stainless steel, carbon steel, weldable aluminum alloy, heat resisting alloy, titanium alloy, etc. The clamping and weldable work piece structure includes thin metal plate, roller work piece, cylinder work piece, conical barrel, truncated cone, box structure, longitudinal seam, etc.

Performance Features
1. Automatic longitudinal seam welding machine adopts cantilever type single pillar structure, made up of lathe bed, pneumatic piano type clamp fixture, beam guide rail, mandrel, electric carriage, welding blowpipe pneumatic hoisting mechanism, welding blowpipe two dimensional regulating mechanism, air circuit system and electric control system, etc.
2. The welding blowpipe is driven by DC servo motor and transmitted by gear rack. After abrasive machining, the orbit plane is flat and smooth. Thus, automatic longitudinal seam welder features stable and reliable welding.
3. Automatic longitudinal seam welding machine adopts pneumatic piano type compression mechanism, guaranteeing that the welding seam is evenly compressed within welding length scope. The spacing or distance among around keys is adjustable so as to adapt to different work piece welding.
4. Welding blowpipe two-dimensional regulating mechanism is employed so as to adjust initial welding position.
5. The distance between mandrel and key pressing plate is adjustable.
6. All the air pipes and cables are installed in the drag chain. Therefore, automatic longitudinal seam welder features good looking appearance. And at the same time, longitudinal seam welder can avoid breaking the wires and cables.
7. According to the thickness of work pieces, there are two types of longitudinal seam welding machines— gasbag type and air cylinder type, which guarantees abundant pressing force and avoids thermal deformation during the welding process.
8. The welding spindle is inset with copper mould, providing back gas protection function. According to different requirements of tanks and plate, one-side welding and two-side molding can be realized.

Welding Process
Automatic longitudinal seam welder can be used to welding thin work pieces. Besides, TIG argon tungsten-arc welding (with filler wire or not), MIG/MAG gas metal arc welding, PAWP plasma welding, and SAW (submerged arc ) welding and other welding processes can be adopted by this longitudinal seam welding machine. After special design, longitudinal seam welding lathe can process one-side welding with back formation. And the work piece materials will not deform by heat or can minimize thermal deformation.
Optional equipment can be allocated, such as split type wire filling machine, welding swinger, arc length tracker, pneumatic hook, welding centering mechanism, base plates with different thickness ranges, base plate water cooler, Base plate lee protective device, exhaust hood device, and so on.
